Academy Rules

Welcome to The Naad Music Academy To maintain a respectful, productive, and safe environment for everyone, we ask all students, parents, and staff to observe the following rules and guidelines. By adhering to these standards, we can ensure that every student has a positive and enriching musical experience.

1. Punctuality & Attendance

• Arriving on Time: Students are expected to arrive on time for all lessons. Late arrivals disrupt both the student's learning and the overall class schedule. If you are going to be late, please inform the instructor in advance.

• Attendance: Regular attendance is essential for consistent progress. If a student cannot attend a lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Missed lessons may be rescheduled, subject to availability, or forfeited if no prior notice is given.

2. Respect for Instructors and Peers

• Mutual Respect: Treat all instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect and courtesy. A positive, supportive attitude helps create an encouraging learning environment for everyone.

• No Disruptive Behavior: Disruptive behavior in class, including talking out of turn, using inappropriate language, or disturbing others, is not permitted. Students should remain focused and engaged during lessons.

3. Practice Commitment

• Practice Time: Consistent practice is key to success. Students are expected to practice regularly between lessons as instructed by their teacher. Set aside specific time each day to practice and work towards improving your musical skills.

• Home Practice: Ensure that you have the necessary equipment and space to practice effectively. We encourage parents to provide a quiet, distraction-free area for younger students.

4. Equipment & Instrument Care

• Proper Use of Instruments: Students must handle all instruments with care. Whether using academy-owned instruments or their own, students are expected to treat them responsibly. Any damage caused due to negligence may result in repair or replacement costs being charged.

• No Food or Drink: To protect our instruments and facilities, food and drink are not allowed in practice rooms or studios. Please use designated areas for eating or drinking.

5. Dress Code & Safety

• Appropriate Clothing: Comfortable clothing is recommended for lessons, but please avoid wearing overly loose clothing or jewelry that could interfere with playing instruments. Ensure you are dressed in a way that allows you to move freely during classes.

• Health & Safety: If you are feeling unwell or have a contagious illness, please refrain from attending class to prevent spreading germs to others. We prioritize everyone's health and well-being.

6. Class Conduct (Online & Offline)

• Online Lessons: For students attending online classes, ensure that you are in a quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions. Keep your camera on during lessons for better engagement, and mute your microphone when not speaking to avoid background noise.

• Respecting Online Etiquette: Treat online lessons with the same level of professionalism and respect as in-person classes. Avoid multi-tasking during lessons, such as using social media or doing other activities in the background.

7. Payment & Fees

• Tuition Fees: All tuition fees are due at the start of each term and should be paid on time. Failure to do so may result in a suspension of lessons until payment is received.

• Refund Policy: We do not offer refunds for missed lessons unless canceled by the academy. If a student is unable to continue their lessons for any reason, please notify us in advance to discuss any options for rescheduling or pausing lessons.

8. Performance Participation

• Recitals & Concerts: Students are encouraged to participate in recitals and concerts held by the academy. These performances provide valuable opportunities for growth and showcase their musical development. Participation may require additional preparation outside of normal lessons.

• Preparation for Performances: Students must come prepared for recitals or any performance events. It is the student’s responsibility to practice and be ready for their performance piece well in advance.

9. Respecting Academy Property

• Facility Use: Students should not enter other areas of the academy unless authorized by an instructor or staff member. Please ensure that any personal items are stored safely during lessons.

• Damage to Property: Any damage caused to academy property, including instruments, rooms, or equipment, due to neglect or misuse may result in a fine or liability for repair costs.

10. Parent/Guardian Involvement

• Parental Support: Parents and guardians are encouraged to support their child’s musical journey by ensuring practice time at home, helping with scheduling, and attending performances when possible.

• Communication: Parents and guardians should maintain open communication with the academy regarding any concerns, scheduling issues, or other important matters.

       Consequences for Violation of Rules

While we always aim to encourage a positive learning environment, The Naad Music Academy reserves the right to suspend or expel students who repeatedly violate these rules. Any disruptive or unsafe behavior, disrespect to instructors or peers, or failure to adhere to the academy’s policies may result in corrective actions.
